Happy Tuesday! Quilt done

Happy Tuesday to you!  Time for one of my occasional Tuesday Quilt posts.

This is a recent finish.  The pictures are of the top, but it is now quilted and bound.

I made many flying geese units using the no waste method, and old old stash.  I just kept going, without counting.  Each unit finishes at 4 inches by 2 inches.  The blue in between is new material.  Here is a close up:

This photo is a bit "yellow" - the light fabrics are more white than shown.  I quilted simply along the blue columns using a batting that can be quilted 4 inches apart, machine bound it, and called it done.
No home for this one, yet.

Tuesday Quilt post

Happy Tuesday to you!  I have been able to do quilty stuff this past week and have a mostly finished project to share with you today.  It is a version of Pineapple blossom  - pattern and directions by Bonnie Hunter.  I have set the blocks together a different way than she shows.

And a close-up:

The blocks are set edge to edge and the movement of the flying geese is accentuated.  I bought 2 and a third yards of the pale yellow for the geese and used 2 yards - if you make this pattern allow for that!  All the medium dark fabrics are from very old stash.  It's good to use them up.  The top only needs borders now.
